Adlington Group and the Vehicle Safety Check App
We recently sat down with Andy Thompson, Head of Operations at Adlington Group. A customer on our fleet platform, Adlington have been using the Vehicle Safety Check app for 9 months – managing 33 vehicles (7 of which are HGVs) and 25 users.
Adlington sell and hire out generators, welding equipment, and other power equipment, and use the Trackit247 fleet platform to track the speed and location of their fleet of vehicles and HGVs, as well as live camera footage and journey timings.
“We use the Tracker function to view where the vehicles are and their status, this helps us when our customers require an ETA of a mobile engineer or delivery/collection” says Thompson.
Alongside the Trackit247 fleet platform, the team have been taking advantage of the Vehicle Safety Check app to manage the condition of their fleet.
While the primary purpose of using the app was to move away from ‘paper and books’ to conduct daily vehicle checks, Thompson has also been utilising the defects and issues feature.
“We like Defects/Issues feature because most of our vehicles are remote, and I/we can view them on one easy to view platform. These can then be rectified quickly, providing a daily check has been conducted. Again, this also advises us if it has not been done!”
