Trackit247 Supports Charity Bike ride

News

Trackit247 were proud to support the team of cyclists taking on the South Downs Way route to cycle from Eastbourne to Winchester to raise money for the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance service on the 10th June see Matthew’s short story below:

“There are a few of us who have decided to test ourselves this year by cycling the 98 mile south down way in just 24 hours, this will not be as easy as it sounds with over 13200ft of climbing along the route.

The South Downs Way is a classic mountain bike trail that provides a challenge for riders of all abilities. On this trip you will cycle along a chalk ridge from the white cliffs Eastbourne, through the Sussex South Downs, and Hampshire, finishing in Winchester”.

Trackit247 provided the Live GPS Tracking devices for all of the cyclists and support teams so they could all monitor their progress throughout the  journey as shown below:

The team set out at 05:30 from Eastbourne Pier as shown below and travelled the whole journey to Winchester covering 98 miles in a single day.

Below all 8 of the team arrived safely at their final destination in Winchester around 23:30 in the evening after a long hard day in the saddle to raise money for the very worthy cause. Amazingly they all managed to put on a smile for their final photo.

Trackit247 have made a donation to further show our support to the team and the Air Ambulance service which continues to save lives every year and needs your support. Please visit the justgiving page link below where you are still able to donate R&W South Downs Way Challenge .
