HGV Safety Equipment
Our GPS tracking capabilities assist in HGV safety and security, with trackers, software and sensors that calculate mileage and expenses, report on driver behaviour, detect objects in blind spots, and more.
From October 2024 there will be an update to the Driver Vision Standards released by Transport for London in regards to HGV Safety and permits in London. We supply vehicle CCTV systems (DVRs & 360° cameras) and the other equipment listed below, including the new Moving Off Information System (MOIS) and the Blind-Spot Information System (BSIS) – to ensure that you can operate at the highest standards of safety.

The BSIS system (also known as the BSD – Blind Spot Detection system) is designed to prevent accidents occurring with pedestrians or other road users that may be approaching the vehicle from the near side. This is similar to the side scan system, however it will not give false alerts by scanning stationary “road furniture” such as lamp posts or traffic lights. The system is active when stationary, at low speeds, and when the vehicle is indicating left. It uses a triangular LED indicator situated on the dash, which glows red to alert the driver that someone is in the blind spot area.
Buy NowMoving Off Information System (MOIS)
The MOIS system is designed to prevent accidents occurring with pedestrians, cyclists and other road users that may be present when the vehicle begins to move off from a stationary position. The system is not active when the vehicle is stationary, or the handbrake is engaged. It uses and small screen situated on the dash, which counts down from 2 meters as other road users get closer to the vehicle as it is about to move off. The system is not active when the vehicle is moving at high speed.
